Pet Safety 76226

1. Keep them cool
If your pet spends time outdoors, make sure they have a shady spot to rest
and plenty of water keep them hydrated. Never leave your pet in your car
unattended. Even on a mild 80 degree day the inside of your car can heat
up to nearly 100 in mere minutes.
2. Identification
Make sure your pet has proper ID in case they get lost. Better yet, have
them microchipped just in case they lose their tags. Argyle requires that pet
dogs 4 months of age or older be registered with the city. Bartonville
requires that dogs wear an identification tag that shows the owner’s name,
address, and phone number.
3. Keep pets on a leash
For the safety of your pet and others, keep your dog on a leash at all times
when walking, even if your city or town does not mandate it. Argyle’s city
ordinance states that dogs must be kept to their owner’s property, or on a
leash if off their owner’s property. In Argyle, cats are exempt.
Not only do vaccinations keep you and your family safe, they are required
by law in the state of Texas. Argyle, Northlake, and Bartonville follow state
regulations that all dogs and cats be current on their rabies vaccinations by
4 months of age and every year thereafter. Argyle requires that pets wear
their rabies tag.
